Emma Stone Ambushes Druski’s ‘SNL’ Monologue in Adorable Way

When Druski was announced as the future host of “Saturday Night Live,” it was his most interesting move in some time. The sketch comedy show had tapped its first digital-only creator (who hadn’t seen crossover success, a la Issa Rae or Quinta Brinson) to serve as its emcee, marking its first major foray into the creator space. And the 32-year-old social media sensation addressed all of that head-on in her monologue.

“It’s a dream to host ‘Saturday Night Live,’” exclaimed Druski. “Apparently people say I’m the first TikTok, YouTube, Instagram star, internet content creator, social media influencer, who makes you laugh just on your phone, to host this show. People say a lot of things about me, honestly. Some people say I look like a lesbian. I don’t know how true that is. Some people say I’m on Ozempic – that might be a lie, that might be the truth. This might be a bit of truth. Some people say they only know me as a white woman.

Druski then assured the audience that he would not be “watered down” by “SNL,” and can or can I have no intention of doing whiteface.

“It’s an honor to be on the same stage as so many legends before me,” he said. “And I’m living proof that you can bet on yourself and make your dreams come true. I just finished filming my very first movie with Emma Stone, and she’s here right now.”

Then out came two-time Oscar winner Emma Stone, his co-star in the upcoming Universal Pictures comedy “The Catch,” directed by Stone’s husband, Dave McCary, a former segment director and writer for “SNL.”

“I actually play his love interest in the new movie we just made,” Druski boasted.

“Oh, that…I’m sorry. Okay,” Stone stammered. “I think you might have misread that in those scenes because we weren’t interested in the movie, but now I’m starting to understand more why you were looking at me like that throughout all those scenes.”

“Also, Emma: I loved you in ‘Bugonia’ too,” Druski added.

“Oh my God, really?” she replied.

“No,” he clarified. “I just wanted to be the first black person to say it.”
