“It’s been six years since I self-cancelled,” Hall says, “and I’ve avoided doing one the whole time. I’ve always said it was my choice, and so I didn’t want to take this glorious burden off my shoulders unless there was no other choice. Well, here we are.” As People reports“Here,” at least in a geographic sense, is the Hall clan’s rustic, no-frills 80-acre compound in Mountain View, Arkansas, where his wife Jill DeGroff is expecting their sixth child next month. And while Hall has touted his “off-the-grid” existence, far from the corrupting influence of show business, he notes that at least some of the money raised will go toward maintaining his often-controversial social media presence via much-needed telephone and electricity.
The extent to which Hall’s views have become controversial will naturally be a matter of opinion, although the former Atlas Shrugged: Part II The actor (who also calls himself a “medieval moralist”) periodically comes out of the woods to claim that only his first male son is his “heir,” while his daughters will serve as his “heir.”dishwasher.” Hall also made the expected fundamentalist speeches against abortion rights and homosexuality, proudly touted the corporal punishment of his children from infancy, and discouraged his homeschooled children from even thinking about going to college.
Despite his “self-cancellation” and proclaimed vow of poverty, Hall granted himself an exemption to appear in Angel Studios’ 2024 Catholic missionary biopic. Cabrini (which was filmed in 2021). He is also a credited screenwriter for the 2020 Selena Gomez-produced teen comedy. This is the year and has appeared in films like 2009’s American Pie Presents: The Book of Love and television shows from Masters of sex has Castle And Major crimes.
