Jameis Winston could be back in the saddle for the Giants.
Winston entered the game on the Giants’ first possession of the third quarter after McCarthy took a throw from Eagles linebacker Zack Baun. McCarthy went to the sideline and went to his knees in obvious pain after attempting to throw a ball.
McCarthy then headed to the locker room for further evaluation and the Giants ultimately punted the ball away. The team has not made an official announcement on the quarterback’s status.
McCarthy is 9 of 13 for 101 yards and he was sacked five times in the first half. The Eagles maintain an 8-6 lead with over 10 minutes left in the third quarter.
