New animated projects are coming from Marvel Television, according to the studio’s New York Comic-Con panel on Thursday.
Marvel Zombies is back for the first of three all-new Halloween specials next year. In 2027, fans can expect Marvel Zombies: The Winter Soldierfollowed by The Fist of Khonshu And The last guardian.
The animated project debuted last year as a four-episode series that featured numerous MCU actors lending their voices to their respective roles, including Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, Florence Pugh, David Harbour, Tessa Thompson, Simu Liu, Awkwafina, Hailee Steinfeld, Wyatt Russell, Randall Park, Iman Vellani and Dominique Thorne. The series also brought The Blade to the MCU, voiced by Todd Williams.
In Marvel ZombiesAfter the Avengers are overtaken by a zombie outbreak, a desperate group of survivors discover the key to ending the super-powered undead, traversing a dystopian landscape and risking their lives to save their world.
Marvel Zombies was created by Bryan Andrews and Zeb Wells. The series is executive produced by Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Dana Vasquez-Eberhardt, Bryan Andrews and Zeb Wells, and is executive produced by Danielle Costa and Carrie Wassenaar.
Also, Your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man returns to Disney+ in the new year. Season 2 is scheduled to premiere on January 13, 2027, the studio says.
The first season of 10 episodes of Your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man hit the streamer last year. The voice cast includes Hudson Thames as Peter Parker as well as Colman Domingo, Eugene Byrd, Grace Song, Zeno Robinson, Hugh Dancy and Charlie Cox.
Your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man follows Peter Parker on the verge of becoming Spider-Man in the MCU. In this alternate timeline, as shown in the clip, the webslinger’s origin story features mentorship from Norman Osborn (of Oscorp fame), the alter ego of bitter enemy Green Goblin, instead of Tony Stark.
