Gypsy Rose Blanchard decides to attend Ken Urker’s funeral

Gypsy Rose Blanchard will attend Ken Urker’s funeral, despite public tensions with her sister, a source confirmed to Page Six.

When asked if Blanchard should be present at the family’s memorial service for Urker in Texas, an insider close to the bartender exclusively told Page Six, “Yes, she plans to go.”

We’re told Blanchard, 35, felt supported by Urker’s family as they mourn his loss.

“Gypsy and her family are doing well and grieving together,” the source said. “She was welcomed at his funeral in Texas.”

Blanchard recently attended a small visitation at a Louisiana funeral home to honor Urker this past weekend, according to TMZ.

The source noted that there was still tension between Blanchard and Ken’s sister, Autumn Urker, who has publicly lambasted the reality star on several occasions.

Last week, Autumn told the Daily Mail that the Urker family was “disgusted” by Blanchard’s behavior following Ken’s death. Autumn also alleged that Blanchard lied about finding Ken after he didn’t respond to her happy birthday message.

Blanchard immediately shut down Autumn’s claims, telling Us Weekly in a statement, “At this time, I do not want the attention surrounding Ken’s passing to focus on the negativity or disagreements between Autumn and me.”

“It’s no secret that Autumn did not approve of Ken’s relationship with me, and there was significant tension between us, including public comments she made about me in the months before her death,” Blanchard continued.

The former inmate also denied Autumn’s claims that she had not been in contact with Ken’s relatives.

“I remain in communication with Ken’s family and, aside from my relationship with Autumn, those communications have been positive and respectful during an incredibly painful time,” she said.

Page Six exclusively reported that Blanchard and Ken had broken up at the time of her death. According to a close source, they started living separately two months ago and officially separated a month before his death.

“They both amicably said a month ago, let’s leave it here, take our space and see where we are,” our source said.

However, we learned that Blanchard and Ken were peacefully co-parenting their 1-year-old daughter, Aurora, and were in constant communication about matters concerning their child.

We were told they broke up because Ken suffered from mental health issues.

Ken was found dead in his Louisiana home on October 1, his 34th birthday. The Lafourche Parish public information officer said investigators do not suspect foul play.

According to a police report obtained by Page Six, Ken was found with drug paraphernalia and a gun at the time of his death.

“Officers walked into the room and located paraphernalia (syringes and spoons) in the bathroom next to a brown powdery substance,” the police report states. “The police found a syringe and a gun on the nightstand next to the bed.”

Shortly after his death was announced, Blanchard shared on social media that he had died of a suspected overdose – although the official cause of death was not revealed.

Blanchard revealed that Ken struggled to deal with “relentless” cyberbullies, saying he “endured an unimaginable level of public scrutiny.”

She asked her fans to sign an online petition against harassment in honor of his memory and thanked her followers for their support. She also called out the rumors surrounding Ken and asked for kindness from the public.

Ken and Blanchard met in 2017 while she was serving time in prison for the murder of her mother, Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard. They got engaged a year later.

They briefly separated, and Blanchard married Ryan Scott Anderson in 2022. Blanchard and Anderson eventually ended their marriage after two years.

Ken and Blanchard eventually got back together and welcomed their daughter in late 2024.
