Trump supports New York ally in tough race

SYRACUSE, New York — President Donald Trump came to New York on Friday to help a Republican win a tough race for governor. But his visit also serves as a reminder of the complex role he plays in his party’s fight to maintain control of Congress.

Asset rallied to the side of the GOP gubernatorial candidate Bruce Blakemancalling on New Yorkers to fire the governor. Kathy Hochul and, referring to the state’s attorney general, “his totally corrupt sidekick, Letitia ‘Peekaboo’ James.”

“Your city and your state are dirty, filthy places, and everyone wants to leave,” he told some 5,000 attendees at a convention center in downtown Syracuse — which, he pointed out, was “a short distance from the beautiful shores of Lake America.”

“You need to pull yourself together, and I tell you what, Bruce Blakeman I’ll pull you together, ” Asset said.
