Sofía Vergara’s son Manolo Gonzalez Vergara is sticking by his mother amid explosive claims in her ex-husband Joe Manganiello’s memoir.
On October 8, Manolo, 35, shared a post on his Instagram Stories that featured a painting comparing a “good man” to a “narcissistic man.” He displayed traits such as “good men set boundaries/narcissistic men shed light.”

He added a caption that read, “Remember kids, when you’re dealing with a narcissist, it doesn’t matter what you do for them because they will blame you and nothing will ever be enough, and they will always try in one way or another to paint you as the bad guy 🍾💃.”
The next day, Vergara, 54, reposted her story. She also reposted a story shared by Tom Brady that said, “The ability to laugh at yourself is probably the highest form of intelligence. The inability to laugh at yourself is a sure sign you’re dealing with an idiot,” to which she added a clapping emoji.
Mother and son’s cryptic social media posts follow excerpts from Manganiello’s memoir Lineages, released on October 13, were released this week.

In the book, the 49-year-old actor writes that his autoimmune disease affected their marriage. By Peoplehe wrote that their union had “become devoid of all emotion.” And according to the outlet, he also claimed that Vergara denied him any affection, even when he asked for it.
Manganiello and Vergara were married from 2015 to 2024. Elsewhere in the memoir, he also disputed her claim regarding the reason for their divorce.

Vergara previously told a Spanish newspaper that their marriage “broke down because my husband was younger; he wanted to have children and I didn’t want to be an old mother. I think it’s not fair to the baby.” But according to Manganiello, he “gave up” on the idea of having children because of his illness.
