Left-back Calafiori, however, has proven to be an integral part of Arsenal’s attacking threat. His equalizer against Leeds was his first league goal this season, but no defender has been involved in more Premier League goals than the Italian (one goal, two assists).
“The last time we put on our shirts, something was missing.” added Arteta.
“And we have to be very aware of that. Between being exceptional and being champion to being extremely average, like in this match, the line is very thin.
“So if you don’t want it more than the opponent, if you’re not able to emotionally deal with certain situations, you’re going to suffer.
“And we all suffered and we didn’t enjoy that game, but then you have to learn the lesson and we certainly did that.
“We talk about it and we felt that there was something in these bellies.”
