Anthony Louise, elected opposition member of the Vesoul municipal council, has no shortage of ideas to improve the daily lives of Vésuliens. This time, it was Alsace that inspired him, during a trip, and more precisely its green spaces. He therefore imagined that the English Garden could evolve.
Faced with “this preserved green space, alive and designed to bring together all generations”, the elected official would like to see its uses rethought. It has already brought to light some ideas: “more modern” games for children and “adapted” to adolescents, intergenerational facilities, some sports and leisure facilities, a pétanque court or even a “simple space that can occasionally host activities and small concerts”. Specifying, for its municipal opposition group “Together for Vesoul”, that there is “no question of concrete, cutting down trees or distorting the English Garden”. His proposals are based on “a citizens’ petition” which had collected, on August 19, 924 signatures in less than a week, in the middle of summer.
The elected official has already sent a letter to the mayor, Alain Chrétien, and he has anticipated, asking that he be given the floor on the subject at the start of the next municipal council meeting, which will take place on Saturday September 26. “Within the deadlines and according to the terms provided for by the internal regulations of the municipal council. » Anthony Louise, who Alain Chrétien often criticizes for not respecting the rules of speech, learns quickly.
