Reese’s rules the plastic pumpkin, at least by DoorDash’s measurements. The food delivery company dug through Halloween 2025 orders and found that peanut butter cups were America’s best candy for the third year in a row, followed closely by Hershey bars and M&M’s. Generally speaking, chocolate dominates, but sour is on the rise: Airheads and Sour Patch Kids rose to the top 10, and Haribo candies joined the list for the first time, then quickly overtook Nerds in recent months. “It’s officially the candy to watch this year,” the site declares.
Data also suggests that old-fashioned treats are making a comeback: Orders for Circus Peanuts are up 350%, Lemonheads are up 200%, and Bit-O-Honey is up 180%. Even sweet corn and raisins shot up 30 to 60 percent. State by state, Reese’s leads in 17 states, while others turn to taffy, licorice or European chocolates.
