Kourtney Kardashian had some choice words for Jennifer Lawrence after the Oscar winner called her “more annoying than ever” and said she “drives me crazy” during a Vanity Fair lie detector interview in 2025.
Kardashian made the remarks during the Season 8 premiere of “The Kardashians,” revealing that Lawrence later apologized via email.
The drama began when Lawrence was asked which member of the Kardashian family was his favorite. She singled out Khloé Kardashian and then criticized Kourtney’s behavior on the reality show.

“Everything has to be an announcement,” Lawrence said. “It’s like, you know, ‘I’m not going to wear outfits anymore.’ Like, wear whatever you want. Don’t make an announcement about this. Or, like, “I don’t have a television in my room.” For example, don’t watch TV. Stop announcing it. Shh.”
Lawrence also said Kourtney “drives me crazy” and was “more annoying than ever.”
Kourtney, 47, said she was particularly upset after her mother, Kris Jenner, mentioned spending time with Lawrence and Emma Stone.

“My mom wrote something like, ‘Jennifer Lawrence and Emma Stone, I talked to them last night, they’re the best,'” Kourtney recalled during the episode. “And I say, ‘F— that bitch—- Jennifer Lawrence.'”
“I told my mom, ‘OK, she thinks she’s one of my sisters? I’m going to slap her,'” she continued. “I was like, ‘Invite her over and we can – I’m going to go there like she’s my sister.'”
Kourtney later discussed the situation with her friend Simon Huck, joking about whether she should respond to Lawrence by referencing Kourtney’s infamous physical fight with Kim Kardashian.

“She asked Kim for my email and then she sent me this email, which is very sweet,” Kourtney said. “I mean, do I say something funny? Like, ‘Can you come over and I’ll beat you up?'”
“I’ll just say, next time you want to come, we can go – Kourtney and Kim style,” she added.

Despite her frustration, Kourtney admitted that Lawrence’s remarks weren’t as bad as she initially thought.
“When I saw it again, I was like, ‘Oh, it’s not that bad, actually,'” she said. “But I also think it was a very sensitive week when she sent it, and I felt like our show was on and everyone was ganging up on me.”

The exchange marked an awkward moment in Lawrence’s longtime relationship with the Kardashian-Jenner family.
Lawrence has been an avid fan of the family for years. In 2017, she hosted “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” and interviewed Kim, who she described as her “total obsession.” During the interview, Lawrence and Kim discussed a dinner at Kris’ home where Lawrence said she became drunk while spending time with the family.

Lawrence also joked that she’s been “obsessed” with Kim and her family “for over a decade, in a very healthy way.”
During an appearance on Amy Poehler’s “Good Hang” podcast in January, Lawrence addressed the backlash surrounding his comments about Kourtney.

“I think when I do press, I should do half of what normal people do,” Lawrence said. “Because I see my quotes and they’re crazy. Like, ‘Jennifer Lawrence calls Kourtney Kardashian boring.’ It’s just too… you know? It works.”
