New insider tip claims the Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra will only be available with a Qualcomm chipset

This still seems to be a pressing question, as almost every new family of Galaxy S devices looms on the horizon: which chipsets will they use? We already know that the Exynos 2700 is, according to early reports, a great chip. The Exynos 2700 will be manufactured on Samsung’s SF2P, a second-generation 2nm Gate-All-Around (GAA) node. Compared to the first generation node (SF2), used for the Exynos 2600, SF2P offers a 12% performance improvement, a 25% reduction in power consumption and an 8% reduction in chip area. Additionally, probably ARM C2 CPU cores. We also know that Samsung System LSI, which designed the chip, is pushing for it to be adopted in the flagship S. That said, questions remain when it comes to yield and production capacity. Reports already indicate that Samsung has increased production of the Exynos 2700 “by more than 10%” compared to the Exynos 2600, which makes sense, if only to supply enough for the new S27 Pro model. On the other hand, Samsung must maintain a long-standing strategic relationship with Qualcomm. It’s a complicated situation.

New insider tip claims the Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra will only be available with a Qualcomm chipset

A new insider tip now claims a few things about this. Apparently, the yields on the Exynos 2700 are really good, but even so, there is little chance of seeing it on the S27 Ultra. No final decision has apparently been made yet, but this appears to be the most likely outcome. So, each S27 Ultra will receive the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, while the S27, S27+ as well as the new S27 Pro will use Exynos in Europe and Korea and Snapdragon in China and the United States.
