Former gang leader sentenced Tuesday in Las Vegas, 40 years to life in prison for the murder of rapper Tupac Shakur in 1996, a case that captivated the public and remained unsolved for decades.
Duane “Keffe D” Davis was convicted in August of orchestrating the fatal shooting of Shakur near the Las Vegas Strip. Police said they renewed their investigation several years ago after Davis spoke about the killing in media interviews and in his memoir.
