Razer unveils 3 new Pokémon-inspired gaming headsets

Razer has just released three new Pokémon-inspired headsets.

The new colorways, part of Pokémon’s ongoing 30th anniversary celebrations, are aimed at two of the tech company’s most popular gaming headsets: the Kraken V4 and Blackshark V3 X Hyperspeed. In typical collaborative fashion, each design is based on a specific Pokémon. This particular collection highlights Sylveon, Charizard and Lucario.

The headsets are now available directly from Razer and Target, but at a significant markup from the latter.

3 new Razer x Pokémon gaming headsets now available

The Razer Kraken V4 gets the Sylveon Edition treatment. This wired headset features a retractable mic, 7.1 surround sound, and customizable RGB with Razer Chroma. The Sylveon design is all about pastels, with an image of Sylveon printed on the headband and soft blue details on the earcups. Razer’s own official listing calls the new edition “flirtatious style.”

The base headset model costs $79.99 and the Sylveon edition is currently offered at Razer for the same price.

The Razer Blackshark V3 X Hyperspeed headset gets two new colorways based on some of the coolest Pokémon, Charizard and Lucario. This is a slightly premium headset designed specifically for esports, with the standard edition priced $20 more than the Kraken V4. It’s also lighter, weighing 270g compared to 300g for the Kraken. Razer features low-latency wireless supported by 2.4GHz HyperSpeed technology and up to 70 hours of battery life.

The Charizard edition is colored in black and red flames with orange lining, while the Lucario model features bright blue earpieces and ink-like artwork.

Razer has already released a number of Pokémon-themed peripherals, including a general line of Pokémon accessories and the viral Gengar headset. It’s no surprise to see the two companies shaking hands again on the occasion of the video game giant’s 30th anniversary.

Meanwhile, Target, which is selling Razer’s new headsets at a significant discount, released a full Pokémon anniversary collection earlier this summer.
