Over the past few days, it has been discovered that a handful of first-party PlayStation games have mysteriously disappeared from the North American PS Store.
It’s not entirely clear why, but games such as God of War 3 Remastered, Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, and Knack 2 are currently unavailable for purchase.
The problem appears to only affect North America; I can at least say that all of the above titles are still being released in the UK.
The reason why the games were delisted is believed to be due to some sort of pricing error or bug. If that’s the case, I imagine the games will be returned to the PS Store in due time.
I think it’s very likely that this is due to a small glitch and the games will appear again soon.
Anyone with the affected software can still play and download it, so no worries there.
For some, however, it’s a reminder of Sony’s looming all-digital reality; the company can remove games at any time, without warning and without giving a reason.
I will update this article if new information emerges and when the games are brought back.
