The Pittsburgh Steelers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers airing at 1 p.m. ET will not be available Sunday in about half the country, according to data from 506sports.com.
The blue shaded areas on the map below will show the Steelers-Buccaneers game. Although it covers a significant part of the country’s territory, it only represents about 40 percent of the country’s population. The Carolina Panthers vs. Philadelphia Eagles game will receive the most coverage, with the New York Jets and New England Patriots dominating the Northeast region.
CBS assigned Andrew Catalon and Logan Ryan to the game along with sideline reporter AJ Ross.
The Buccaneers ended their losing streak with a 24-16 upset win over the Dallas Cowboys last week on Thursday Night Football, and they did it without Baker Mayfield. His hand injury leaves him doubtful for Sunday’s game, meaning undrafted rookie Jalon Daniels could have a chance to rack up wins for the struggling Buccaneers.
The Steelers have yet to win back-to-back games or win on the road this season. With Sunday’s game in Tampa followed by next week’s road game against the New Orleans Saints in Paris, they have an opportunity to end both streaks and even rack up some road wins.
Although the Buccaneers offense is hamstrung without their $165 million quarterback, they aren’t that far behind the Steelers in yards or points per game. And the Buccaneers defense keeps them competitive with the seventh-best defense overall. Pittsburgh feasted on the Colts’ limp defense in Week 5, but it may be a very different story on the road against the Buccaneers.
Where the matchup could get interesting is the Buccaneers’ No. 2 defense, allowing just 72.8 yards per game so far this season on the ground. Jaylen Warren is emerging as one of the best running backs in the league, but can the offensive line give him room to run?
If the coverage map doesn’t include the area you live in, there are still options for watching the game. As always, YouTube TV is offering the NFL Sunday Ticket for a price. Otherwise, you may need to head to the local sports bar to watch the game live.
