The “Yellow Vests” have finally returned home in the trailer for season 4

After three seasons, the Yellow vests The team returned home to New Jersey after 19 months in the wilderness. But if you’re familiar with the show’s back-and-forth between the past and present, you already know that. Still, it’s shocking to see young Shauna return home, let alone her best friend, Jackie. In the season four trailer, we see the teens return to their hometown as “American heroes,” while everyone is unaware of what happened in the wild. “Everything we saw, everything we did, we weren’t supposed to leave,” confesses the teenage Van. Heroes are not celebrated for their cannibalism.

Their return isn’t limited to season four, which premieres on November 20. Paramount+ posted a little Forrest Gump moment: Alanis Morissette dedicated a song to survivors during her 1999 MTV unplugged performance, complete with an MTV News intro by Serena Altschul. “This next song is for a really special group of young women, the Yellowjackets women’s soccer team, who are coming home,” Morissette says in the obviously dubbed video before singing “Ironic.” “You are such a symbol of hope and I wish you a future filled with truly beautiful moments through all of life’s ironic twists and turns. I love you guys.” Isn’t it ironic to dedicate a song to them with a verse about a fatal plane crash? It figures.
