Apple is set to introduce a new touchscreen MacBook Pro and an updated iPad Mini “on or around October 27.” Bloomberg reports. If true, that would place the event just two weeks after Apple’s October 13 event announced today, which was rumored to focus on smart home products.
Bloomberg says the late October event will include an “online video presentation” and an “in-person press component,” which it says is similar to what Apple is planning for the October 13 event.
During this Mac and iPad event, Bloomberg reports that Apple will announce new MacBook Pros that are lighter than those currently available, featuring OLED touchscreens and iPhone-like Dynamic Island interfaces. Apple is also apparently planning to announce MacBook Pros retaining the current design but featuring the M6 chip introduced with the new Mac Mini. And the iPad Mini, which was last refreshed in 2024, will be updated to move the front-facing camera to the landscape side of the tablet and to add a “revamped speaker system.” Bloomberg said.
