Best Buy confirms Zelda Switch 2 will be in stock for midnight launch events in November

Best Buy announced that select stores will open at midnight for the launch of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. The major US retailer is gearing up for the highly anticipated release, with its website now also offering a countdown to November 5th.

The midnight launch will also include a new batch of stock for the limited edition Nintendo Switch 2 Zelda 40th Anniversary consoles and corresponding Switch 2 Pro controllers.

This is potentially good news for anyone who missed out on the special edition console during the September pre-order excitement.

Best Buy is counting down to the launch of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on November 5.

At this time, Best Buy has not said how many systems will be available or which stores will receive stock, but it has cautioned that quantities are limited. Best Buy also said that store hours vary by region, so you’ll need to check with your local store before heading out.

If you already have an Ocarina of Time pre-order to ship and would prefer to pick it up during the midnight opening, Best Buy said you can also do that by modifying your order through your “Best Buy purchase history.”

There’s a good reason for fans to pre-order elsewhere, however, as Amazon and Walmart are offering Ocarina of Time for $59.88 instead of $69.99.
