Tonight, the 2026 Academy Museum Gala, now in its sixth consecutive year, brought together an A-list crowd to celebrate and advance the museum’s mission: “to celebrate and preserve cinema.”
Co-chaired by Tom Ford, Robert Rodriguez, Steven Spielberg and Kate Capshaw, the special evening naturally brought together an impressive list of Hollywood heavyweights, including the evening’s special honorees, including Icon Award recipient Charlize Theron; Luminary Award winner John Carpenter; and Colman Domingo, who won the Vantage Award. Oh, and Taylor Swift was also in the house, giving a special performance.
However, before the main event kicked off, the lavish Academy Gala red carpet saw all of these stars bring out their finest evening wear for the evening. (A similar vibe to last year’s carpet.) Best dressed stars of the night? These were the ones that leaned into classic Hollywood glamour, with a twist.
Highlights included actress Naomi Ackie, who kicked off the red carpet in a fabulous strapless purple Balenciaga dress, featuring a tiered, voluminous silhouette. Other stars became more elegant and refined, like Maya Hawke in her crystal-embellished Prada column dress, or Mia Goth in her black sequinned Dior bodycon dress.
Below, find out more Voguethe best dressed stars at the 2026 Academy Museum Gala, as they arrive in real time. And be sure to vote for who you think was best dressed.
