Brandon Aiyuk will do his best with the 49ers, per agent – NBC Sports Bay Area & California

Brandon Aiyuk and his new agent, Drew Rosenhaus, will indeed arrive at the 49ers facilities Friday afternoon.

Rosenhaus told ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Wednesday that his client had submitted paperwork to be reinstated to the 49ers and that the two planned to visit the Santa Clara facility on Friday, saying Aiyuk was “healthy and ready to get back on the field.”

And on Thursday, despite the confusion within the team and the league, Rosenhaus made it clear that nothing had changed and provided more details on their exact arrival.

“We will do our best and go from there,” Rosenhaus texted Schefter.

The situation surprised many people, including the 49ers.

Coach Kyle Shanahan remains adamant that despite Aiyuk’s sudden arrival after being away from the team for nearly a year, he does not expect Aiyuk to play another game for San Francisco.

He also shared on KNBR’s “Dirty Work” Thursday that he had no idea how the entire reentry process would work, and admitted he didn’t even know what time Aiyuk planned to arrive.

General manager John Lynch stressed that the team is focused on the players inside the walls of the facility and improving its 6-1 record. He acknowledged he was exploring all options with the NFL.

“It’s a unique situation, so there’s really no strategy,” Lynch said Thursday morning on KNBR’s “Murph & Markus.” “But I always come back to what is my responsibility, what is my job. My job is to look out for the best interest of the 49ers and as such, and in this particular situation, we are working with the NFL leadership council to navigate a different situation.

“So it’s fluid; I’m going to leave it at that because it was recommended to me and I think it’s the right thing to do. We’ll look for a path here that works for both parties.”

With a lot of uncertainty hovering around the disgruntled receiver and his future in the NFL, one thing is certain: he will be at the 49ers facility Friday at 3 p.m.
