British Prime Minister Andy Burnham discussed Ukraine having full access to Starlink in a phone call with the president Donald Trump Friday, amid outcry from Ukrainians and their supporters over the slowdown in the system.
The Prime Minister’s Office said in a reading what he said Asset that Ukraine must have full access to the communications system “so that it can continue to defend itself against Russia’s full-scale invasion.”
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Friday in a virtual speech at the Washington-based Hudson Institute that the speed of service had not been fully restored despite Asset saying a day before that CEO of SpaceX Elon Musk had “put it back in place”.
Asset has intensified its pressure on Ukraine in recent weeks, accusing Zelensky of being responsible for the continued conflict with Russia.
