Cam Skattebo goes into beast mode with several punishing runs against the Texans

New York Giants and former Arizona State running back Cam Skattebo was back to his old self, punishing the Houston Texans defense on several counts on Sunday.

Skattebo’s day started off with a bang as he lowered his helmet against the Texans for a seven-yard run in the first quarter. Unfortunately for the murderer, his helmet lowering triggered an unnecessary 15 yard roughness penalty.

Skattebo made several tackles on a 16-yard touchdown run to give the Giants the lead in the fourth quarter.. It was the running back’s first touchdown since Week 1, and he celebrated the score with his famous backflip celebration.

With the game tied 24-24 in overtime, Skattebo ran for a career-high 42 yards to put the Giants in Texans territory. The Giants eliminated the Texans on the next play via a 30-yard touchdown run by Devin Singletary to win the game.

Skattebo finished the game with a career-high 124 rushing yards on 17 carries and scored a touchdown. It was a bounce-back performance for him after being benched last week against the New Orleans Saints and not having a single rushing attempt in the game.
