Camp of American Anti-Imperialist Front teenagers, where they wave the Hezbollah flag

Teenagers waved terrorist flags and learned Maoist war tactics at a radical “anti-imperialist summer camp” hidden in the Pacific Northwest, the Post has learned.

The late August camp, run by the terrorism-linked American Anti-Imperialist Front (AIF-USA), brought together teenagers from their branch, Revolutionary Youth, as well as community college students and young workers, in the Pacific Northwest, according to documents provided to the Post by the education watchdog group the North American Values Institute (NAVI).

Photos from the trip showed nearly 20 campers dressed in hoodies and bandanas sitting around a fire next to flags of several terrorist groups, one of which read “Victory to the Axis of Resistance!” » — the network that includes Hamas, the Houthis and Hezbollah.

Another photo shows campers flying flags of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Palestinian flag, a green flag displaying the Shahada – the Muslim declaration of faith, and the flag of Hezbollah.

The campers studied documents from several foreign communist groups designated as terrorist organizations in their home countries, according to an article deleted since August 21 on their website.

One of the groups studied was the Communist Party of Peru, also known as Shining Path, which killed more than 35,000 people in its attempt to overthrow the Peruvian government launched in 1980 and wiped out countless others.

“These studies deepened participants’ (sic) understanding of the international significance of the people’s wars in Peru, Turkey, India and the Philippines. As people’s wars across the world show the only path to freedom for the working class and oppressed peoples,” the website states.

Another group studied was the Communist Party of Türkiye/Marxist-Leninist, founded in 1972 for the purpose of “armed struggle” and designated as a terrorist group by the Turkish government. The group has organized numerous kidnappings and attacks against Turkish soldiers and police officers.

The campers studied were also the Communist Party of India (Maoist), formed in 2004 and which has carried out more than 4,000 terrorist attacks since its inception, according to the South Asia Terror Portal.

It is unclear where exactly the camp took place in the Pacific Northwest.

“Camaraderie was strengthened by physical discipline cultivated through sports and the collective singing of revolutionary songs. Exercise and diligent study strengthened the revolutionary optimistic spirit of the comrades,” the group’s website said of the trip’s itinerary.

The Seattle chapter of Revolutionary Youth participated in the camp along with the Bellevue, Puget Sound, Bellingham and Isiquah chapters, according to an Aug. 25 post on their Instagram page.

NAVI Research Director Mika Hackner said Revolutionary Youth recruits new members on West Coast high school campuses by organizing classroom walkouts – most recently on the Oct. 7 anniversary.

“High school students are being lured into dangerous and violent ideology by groups associated with terrorist organizations,” Hackner said.

The AIF-USA website was hosted on servers operated by the Italian extremist group Autistici/Inventati (A/I Collective), sanctioned by the U.S. Treasury and designated a global terrorist group by the State Department in August.

“Autistici/Inventati (A/I Collective) is an Italy-based extremist group that builds and operates the digital infrastructure of violent cells of Antifa and other far-left activists around the world,” the State Department said.

After the terrorist designation on August 26, their servers were no longer available in the United States and AIF-USA. the website has been taken down.

Austitici/Inventati provided a suite of technology services – including web hosting, encrypted chat, email and video conferencing – to terrorist groups, including Masar Badil, a front for the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), according to the Treasury Department.

AIF-USA trains its members in the teachings of the Iran-backed Hezbollah terrorist group which has launched some 20,000 rockets at civilian targets in northern Israel since October 7, 2023, according to its “Learning from Hezbollah” worksheet.
