Apple Wallet car keys are poised for a big expansion, with GM announcing support for a variety of vehicles across three of its popular brands: Cadillac, Chevrolet and GMC.
Cadillac, Chevrolet and GMC will support Apple Wallet car keys on 9 vehicles, with more to come
As spotted by MacRumorsGM recently announced the long-awaited rollout of its Apple Wallet car key, first mentioned by Apple in June 2025.
Cadillac, Chevrolet, and GMC vehicles will all gain support for storing a digital car key in Apple Wallet.
According to GM’s announcement, a very limited rollout began in late September and extends throughout October before hitting more vehicles in December.
As shown in the image above, GM will launch car key support for the following vehicles:
Cadillac
- Vistiq (2027)
- Optics (2026-2027)
- Lyriq (2025-2027)
- Climbing (2027)
- CLIMBING IQ/IQL (2027)
Chevrolet
- Suburbs (2026-2027)
- Tahoe (2026-2027)
GMC
- Yukon (2026-2027)
- Yukon XL (2026-2027)
With support for all of these models launching before the end of the year, this represents one of the broadest car key expansions in recent times.
GM also confirms that the rollout “will continue on other GM vehicles over time.” It says that when a vehicle adds support for car keys, customers will be notified in the “What’s New” section of their vehicle’s app.
