Carolyn Marvin says she was protesting delivery robots on a public sidewalk

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — A Philadelphia woman was arrested after allegedly blocking the path of a delivery robot.

Police said witnesses were called to reports of an argument earlier this month between Carolyn Marvin and an Uber delivery robot in Philadelphia.

“I protested against them every time I saw them by standing in front of them and stopping them from moving forward,” Marvin said.

Police said Marvin was arrested for disorderly conduct after ignoring officers’ commands to move out of the robot’s path.

Marvin said she was there “to publicly demonstrate on a public sidewalk my protest against delivery robots.”

Marvin said she believes her actions protect free speech and plans to continue protesting the robots.
