If you see a lesbian with her flag at half-mast today, gently comfort her – Chrishell Stause and G Flip have broken up. Stause, known for her starring role in the Netflix series Selling the sunset, shared the news in an emotional Instagram video. “I have a pretty humiliating update to share with you guys. G and I are no longer together,” she said. “We have agreed to treat this public separation with love and respect for each other. It’s not difficult for me because I am in love with this person and I don’t have all the information or the reasons.” From what she says about still loving them and not having the full context, it seems like it was G Flip who initiated the breakup. “I don’t know what else to say, guys,” Stause adds through tears. “I feel like a bit of a failure. There’s nothing you could say about me that would be worse than what I’m telling myself. I just have to heal and figure this out. It’s hard. It’s painful.”
Shortly after Stause’s video surfaced, G Flip confirmed their split in their own Instagram post: “After over 4 years, Chrishell and I are no longer together,” they wrote. “I will always love him, we will always share a special bond and I deeply cherish our memories together.” They added: “My head and heart are very heavy at the moment and I am unable to speak, but I want to thank you all for your support and appreciate you respecting our privacy at this difficult time.”
Stause and G Flip reunited in 2022 after Stause appeared in one of their music videos. The reality star confirmed their relationship to Selling the Sunset season five reunion. “Recently, I’ve been spending a lot of time with someone who is very important to me. His name is G Flip. They’re non-binary, so they’re called them, and he’s an extremely talented musician,” Stause said at the time. In May 2023, they declared that they had married. “I’m a sweetheart,” Stause says in her video about their breakup. “I swing big. I miss it. Or maybe you don’t miss it – maybe this is the life and seasons you’re supposed to have with people, and I had four incredible years with G. Maybe it’s not a miss, you know? Maybe it’s just accepting that this is a different ending than you imagined.”
