Chrishell Stause was spotted walking her dog Peace in Los Angeles more than a week after sharing news of her breakup with G Flip
A source previously told PEOPLE that the distance between California and Australia was putting a strain on the former couple.
The two were never legally married but have not ruled out a future reconciliation, according to the source.
Chrishell Stause is stepping down for the first time since announcing her split from partner G Flip.
THE Selling the Sunset a 45-year-old alum, was spotted in Los Angeles walking her dog Peace on Wednesday, November 4. The star was seen with a serious expression on her face as she wore a white striped top, black sweatpants, a long beige jacket and pink Givenchy slides.
Stause’s first public appearance comes a week after she revealed that she and the 33-year-old Australian musician were no longer together in a tearful Instagram video posted on October 26. The same day, G Flip then shared their own announcement, noting that they “felt very heavy” about the split and were not “able to talk.”

Shortly after their breakup, a source close to Stause shed light on why the couple ended their relationship after more than four years together, telling PEOPLE that being separated by an ocean played a significant role in their split.
“It’s the distance that really drove them apart,” our source said. The two split their time between California and Australia, and the long trips eventually proved too difficult. “The long flights, the weeks without seeing each other and the time difference took their toll.”
“They were trying to make the ‘marriage’ work, which was never legal,” the source added. “They both wanted to have children, but they also didn’t want to uproot their lives for the other.” Although they had several weddings together during their relationship, Stause and G Flip were never legally married, PEOPLE previously confirmed.
Announcing their split last week, both partners said they would “always” love each other, and the source suggested the future wasn’t entirely clear for the couple.

“Chrishell and G Flip still love each other very much and haven’t ruled anything out in terms of a romantic reunion in the future. It was hard to dream of a life together when they both had that dream on different continents,” the source said.
The now exes first met on Halloween in 2021, when Stause was still dating his ex Selling the Sunset her co-star Jason Oppenheim and G Flip were also a couple.
Five months after revealing her split from Oppenheim, Stause went public with her relationship with G Flip during a Selling the Sunset reunion episode in May 2022.
“Recently, I’ve been spending a lot of time with someone who is very important to me. His name is G Flip. They’re non-binary, so they’re called them,” she said during the episode. “And he’s an extremely talented musician.”
Stause has since stepped away from the real estate docusoap, which is currently filming its 10th season, after revealing it had a negative impact on her mental health.
