DALLAS – A cold front moves east and southeast across the Metroplex Tuesday morning, ending overnight storms across most of the region and setting the stage for gusty winds and cooler weather.
What we know:
While some areas experienced severe thunderstorms overnight, conditions in the Dallas-Fort Worth area are quickly drying out Tuesday morning.
Non-severe thunderstorms with heavy rain and lightning continue to form over the same locations south and east of the Metroplex, increasing concerns for localized flooding from Athens to Cayuga and Fairfield.
Most polling stations open at 7 a.m. in dry conditions, but voters in and around Palestine may have to wait until Tuesday evening before the rain completely disappears. Light to moderate rain also continues on the east side of Canton before fading.
