A few days before Halloween, Dancing with the stars celebrates the holidays in the ballroom with a night full of horror movie-inspired dancing.
This week the couples danced to classic and new horror hit songs. Some of the films that inspired the DWTS couples this week include Sinners, Black Swan And Jokeramong others.
Celebrities still competing in season 35 include Tatyana Ali, Tyler Cameron, Jenna Dewan, Ezra Frech, Amber Glenn, Maura Higgins, Jackson Olson, Harry Shum Jr., Julia Stiles and Connor Wood.
No couples were eliminated at the end of last week’s Dedication Night, which means two couples will be eliminated at the end of Tuesday’s episode; the two eliminated couples will be determined by a combination of judges’ scores and votes from Dedication and Horror Movie Night viewers. Additionally, Shirley Ballas joined the panel as a guest judge this week.
Shirley wasted no time in tackling her score, giving Julia and Ezra Sosa a four; she then gave Tatiana and Jan Ravnik the same rating, while her counterparts gave them each an eight.
The second couple to perform, Harry and Jenna Johnson, made their mark by becoming the first duo to achieve a perfect score on Season 35. They scored high for their contemporary dance to 2WEI’s “Toxic,” inspired by Saw.
Horror Movie Night also saw Val Chmerkovskiy return to the ballroom following his week-long suspension following his reference to Will Smith’s infamous Oscar slap while criticizing Carrie Ann Inaba’s judgment of his wife, Jenna Johnson.
In a teaser for next week’s Disney-themed episode, Alfonso Ribeiro also announced that Cynthia Erivo would be joining her as a guest judge.
The couple with the lowest combined total of judges’ scores and viewer votes is eliminated at the end of each DWTS episode. Each viewer is entitled to up to 10 votes per couple, per voting method (via the ABC website and by SMS).
Live voting takes place during each show’s East Coast broadcast and ends shortly after the final performance; This means that if you are a West Coast viewer and want to vote, you must do so between 5:00 PM PT and approximately 6:45 PM PT, as voting ends after the final performance.
