Dancing with the stars is obsessed with Mariah Carey, as the ballroom dedicated an entire evening to honoring the legendary singer-songwriter.
For the fourth week of competition, the couples performed the Grammy winner’s beloved hits, including “Emotions,” “Fantasy,” “Obsessed” and “Touch My Body.”
At the end of Mariah Carey Night, Ciara Miller and Brandon Armstrong were eliminated from DWTSmarking the second week in a row the show ended with a shocking elimination.
Celebrities still competing in season 35 include Tatyana Ali, Tyler Cameron, Jenna Dewan, Ezra Frech, Amber Glenn, Maura Higgins, Jackson Olson, Guillermo Rodriguez, Harry Shum Jr., Julia Stiles and Connor Wood.
24/30 was Mariah Carey Night’s first high score, with three couples winning this score consecutively. One after the other, Ezra, Harry and Jenna each earned three eight paddles from the judges, marking Ezra and Jenna’s highest scores of the season so far, respectively.
They held the top spot in the standings until Maura and Mark Ballas took the stage, winning the first nine of the season against Carrie Ann Inaba. They performed a waltz to “If It’s Over”, achieving the highest score of DWTS season 35 so far, a 25/30.
Elsewhere, Guillermo and Witney Carson fell to the bottom of the chart, scoring a 13/30 for their samba to Carey’s beloved “Obsessed.”
Ciara and Brandon performed jazz to “Emotions” and received a score of 21/30. Their scores matched those of Tyler and Sharna Burgess; Jackson and Emma Slater; and Julia and Ezra Sosa.
At last Tuesday’s Yacht Rock Night, Taylor Hanson and Britt Stewart were shockingly eliminated from the competition.
The couple with the lowest combined total of judges’ scores and viewer votes is eliminated at the end of each DWTS episode. Each viewer is entitled to up to 10 votes per couple, per voting method (via the ABC website and by SMS).
Live voting takes place during each show’s East Coast broadcast and ends shortly after the final performance; This means that if you are a West Coast viewer and want to vote, you must do so between 5:00 PM PT and approximately 6:45 PM PT, as voting ends after the final performance.
