Electronic Arts Launches 25 Classic Games on Steam, Including Motorbike Racer ‘Anniversary Editions’ Rash and six Wing Commander securities. These Anniversary Editions preserve the game’s “original look, feel, and creative intent” but also feature quality-of-life updates to support modern systems and controls and improve performance, according to EA.
The seven new editions were “inspired” by the discovery of a “physical media vault” containing “thousands” of Betacam, VHS and D1 tapes and “other media assets”, says EA. As part of the digitization process, EA was able to recover the main FMV sequences and re-edit them to restore over 1,500 scenes from the games. The update Wing Commander The games also officially integrate some community-created mods.
You can get the Rash And Wing Commander Anniversary Editions for $9.99 and other classic games including Ultimate And Cross titles, will be available for $4.99. You can grab them on Steam, GOG, and the EA app.
