A Minnesota homecoming celebration shattered by gunfire has become the latest crime and bail hotspot after the accused shooter was released from jail just two days after his arrest.
Adam Abdihakeem Adam, 18, posted bond and was released Saturday evening, according to Hennepin County jail records reviewed by Fox News Digital.
Police said he shot two teenagers outside Eden Prairie High School during the Oct. 2 homecoming football game, prompting the evacuation of the stadium.
His release drew criticism from President Donald Trump’s Rapid Response 47 account, which highlighted police statements linking the shooting to rival Somali gangs.

“A radical left judge immediately granted him unconditional bail,” the story on X writes.
Jail records list an option of $100,000 unconditional bail or surety and show Adam was released at 7:04 p.m. on Oct. 10. He faces two counts of second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon and one count of second-degree rioting while armed with a dangerous weapon. His next court appearance is scheduled for Monday afternoon.

The shooting injured an 18-year-old and a 17-year-old and sparked a multi-agency search for those involved, according to Eden Prairie police.
Investigators say the violence began after two cars drove into a parking lot and a fight involving about 10 people broke out. The driver of a car got out, opened fire on the victims and fled, according to charging documents cited by FOX 9 Minneapolis affiliate.
Authorities identified that driver as Adam, who was driving his brother’s car. Investigators tracked his phone with the vehicle before, during and after the shooting, the outlet reported. He then allegedly abandoned the phone and changed his number.

A search of his St. Louis Park home revealed clothing matching what the shooter was wearing in surveillance video, according to charges cited by FOX 9.
Police caught up with Adam on October 8 near Interstate 55 and Penn Avenue in Minneapolis, and took him into custody without incident.
The Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office credited detectives from its Auto Theft Task Force and West Metro Drug Task Force, along with officers from St. Louis Park and Hopkins, for safely boxing into the vehicle.
“I am incredibly proud of our officers and investigators who worked tirelessly alongside our law enforcement partners to identify those responsible and hold them accountable,” Eden Prairie Police Chief Matt Sackett said after the arrest.

The case has intensified concerns about Somali gang-related violence in the metro area, prompting regional public safety agencies to come together under the coordination of the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension. Police leaders said they were sharing intelligence and coordinating investigations to prevent further shootings.
Republican U.S. Senate candidate Michele Tafoya highlighted the homecoming shooting and other recent violence while warning last week that Minnesotans were feeling increasingly threatened.

“Our law enforcement here denounces it as the product of Somali gang violence, and we have to identify it, and we have to find a way to deal with it,” Tafoya told Fox News Digital.
Eden Prairie police are also investigating an Oct. 5 shooting incident at a Speedway gas station, where no injuries were reported. Investigators said they have not identified a connection between that incident and the homecoming shooting.
