Fantasy Football Week 9 WR Pick: Luther Burden III Continues to Progress

Over the past three games, with Caleb Williams returning from his hamstring injury, Luther Burden III and Rome Odunze have come back to life. And both should do well again in Week 9 against Tampa Bay.

This is not an easy matchup as the Buccaneers are No. 6 for fewest fantasy points allowed to opposing receivers. But the Bears didn’t have an easy game in Week 8 in Seattle.

Burden had seven catches for 56 yards and a touchdown on nine targets against the Seahawks, and he has now scored at least 17.5 PPR points in three straight games. He’s worth using as the No. 2 Fantasy receiver in any league.

Odunze had four catches for 87 yards on six targets against Seattle, and he’s now scored at least 10.7 PPR points in each of his last two outings. I would start Odunze in three-receiver leagues.

Tampa Bay has shut down Carolina and Atlanta’s passing attacks in the last two games, but before that, Dallas and Pittsburgh each had two receivers score at least 12 PPR points in the same game with George Pickens and Ryan Flournoy and DK Metcalf and Germie Bernard.

Burden and Odunze are capable of similar production. And I’m excited to see both play at a high level against the Buccaneers in Week 9.
