Update ():
And just like that, out of nowhere, with very little fanfare – the first images of Forza Horizon 6 running on PS5 have been released.
This 30-second pre-order spot confirms previous rumors: the Japan-based racing game will arrive on Sony’s console on January 26.
Those who pre-order the more expensive Premium Flair Edition will be able to play a few days early, starting January 21.
Three options will be available:
Forza Horizon 6 Standard Edition ($69.99/£59.99)
Forza Horizon 6 Deluxe Edition ($99.99/£89.99)
- Full game
- Welcome pack
- Car pack
Forza Horizon 6 Premium Flair Edition ($119.99/£109.99)
- Full game (advanced access)
- Welcome pack
- Car pass
- VIP Membership
- Expansion Pack 1
- Expansion Pack 2
- Time Trial Car Pack
- Italian Passion Car Pack
This first expansion included with Premium Flair Edition will launch alongside the PS5 game, so you’ll be able to play from day one.
Do you pre-order?
Original story: We’ve all been wondering where Forza Horizon 6’s PS5 port is, and now we have our best idea of when to expect it to arrive thanks to a very reliable source.
Billbil-kun, via Dealabs, has “exclusively obtained” information on the open-world racing game’s PS5 debut and other release details.
According to the report, Forza Horizon 6 will launch on PS5 on January 26, 2027.
This would line up with reports from other sources claiming the game was being postponed until the new year.
The report also states that it will cost you €69.99/£59.99, the same price as on Xbox Series, and that it will also get a physical PS5 version.
The last detail to mention is that the official announcement will apparently be made this week, with pre-orders opening immediately after.
Billbil-kun has been very accurate when it comes to gaming information for many years, especially when it comes to PS Plus. I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see all of these details turn out to be true when Xbox announces the PS5 release date.
It’s an interesting moment; Forza Horizon 6 received rave reviews when it initially launched in May, but sentiment among fans has become less favorable.
This is mainly due to irregular and poor quality updates post-launch, and it recently reached a point where the team made an official statement:
I imagine the game will definitely be worth playing when it releases on PS5, and I hope Playground Games will also have improved its update cadence by then. Or, perhaps, once the PS5 version is released, perhaps updates could become more consistent.
