A fire ripped through an Inglewood shopping center, causing the roofs of two businesses to collapse Thursday afternoon.

INGLEWOOD, Calif. (KABC) — Los Angeles County Fire crews battled a fire that broke out Thursday afternoon at a shopping center in Inglewood.
Firefighters responded to the 700 block of E Hyde Park Boulevard around 12:04 p.m., to a multi-unit commercial building, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The fire was upgraded to a 3rd alarm fire at 12:37 p.m., meaning it is activating a significant increase in resources, such as fire trucks, ladder trucks and personnel.
Firefighters said crews then went into defensive mode.

AIR7 was above the scene where flames could be seen tearing through a roof that appeared to have collapsed. Firefighters later confirmed that the roofs of two buildings had collapsed.
It was not immediately clear how many businesses were affected.
No injuries were reported.
No further details were immediately available. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
