Ford (F) is expected to report third-quarter results after the bell on Wednesday, with investors watching to see whether the automaker will maintain or raise its full-year outlook again.
For the quarter, Ford is expected to report automotive revenue of $46.2 billion according to Bloomberg consensus, with adjusted EPS of $0.41 on adjusted EBIT (earnings before interest and taxes) of $2.38 billion.
Last quarter, Ford increased its Full-year adjusted EBIT targets between $10 billion and $11 billion (previous forecasts were $8.5 billion to $10.5 billion). It also raised its adjusted free cash flow outlook to $6 billion to $7 billion.

Analysts forecast full-year adjusted EBIT of $10.52 billion, in the upper half of that range. Capital spending is expected to be $9.9 billion, within Ford’s unchanged range of $9.5 billion to $10.5 billion.
Last week, rival GM reduced its adjusted EBIT forecast for 2026 to $14.5 billion to $15.5 billion while increasing its EPS outlook, and stocks slipped despite mediocre profits, with investors hoping for more.
One area that may have had a negative impact on operations occurred at the end of the quarter in September. Ford canceled all production shifts at its Dearborn truck plant for nearly a week due to a supply issue. according to Reutersand the Kansas City Assembly also downsized.
Ford called this a “short-term supplier issue unrelated to aluminum” and said the shot was “controllable within the framework of the adjusted EBIT guidance for the full year 2026.”
In terms of sales, Ford’s third-quarter U.S. sales fell 6.6% to 509,764 vehicleswhich the company blamed on the planned phaseout of the Escape and Lincoln Corsair. Excluding these two models, volume was essentially flat; however, F-Series truck sales fell 1.9% during the quarter.
Last month, Ford unveiled its Refreshed 2027 F-150with more V8 options than Ford said customers wanted.
Conversely, the discontinued F-150 Lightning EV highlights the problems Ford faces with electric vehicles. Electric vehicle sales in the third quarter plunged by 80%continuing a trend that began last year after the federal electric vehicle tax credit expired.
Ford’s Model e EV business unit is expected to report a loss of $1.17 billion, larger than last quarter’s $919 million, on revenue of $1.12 billion. In July, Ford announced its prospects for the Model e included about $1 billion in additional spending on its Universal EV and Ford Energy platform, mainly in the second half.
Ford is betting on its new Fathom EV pickupwith a starting price of $28,350, will reverse its electric vehicle efforts.
