The police have arrested four men in connection with the shooting of 49ers defensive lineman Keion White earlier this year, the Associated Press reports.
White was hosting a private Super Bowl party at a San Francisco nightclub when the shooting occurred early on the morning of February 9. White was treated at a local hospital for gunshot wounds to his ankle.
Investigators used video footage and witness statements to identify the multiple gun-wielding suspects who confronted White.
San Francisco Police Chief Derrick Lew said authorities arrested the suspects last week with the help of Atlanta law enforcement; Stockton, California; Irvine, California and Los Angeles.
Curtis Green, 35, was arrested in Irvine on October 7, and two days later authorities arrested Gregory Walker, 36, of Mountain House, California. Walker will be charged with assault with a semi-automatic firearm — which prosecutors say he shot — as well as other charges for possessing a firearm as a felon.
Green faces misdemeanor charges for brandishing a firearm and carrying a concealed, loaded weapon in public.
Two other men arrested in other jurisdictions are not yet in local custody.
White appeared in all five games for the 49ers this season and had three sacks.
