Frustrated Arkansas football fans launch harebrained plan to get AD fired, and it could happen today

It’s been a brutal year for Arkansas football.

Well, scratch that. It’s been a brutal decade for Arkansas football.

The Razorbacks sit at 2-3 and near the bottom of the SEC before today’s game was Tennessee, and the outlook doesn’t look great. The Vols (4-1) are No. 15 in the country and are better than Arkansas in almost every possible metric.

By all accounts, this should be a blowout – most of the Razorback’s losses this season have been. There is little reason to believe it will be any different today.

But there is good news! Win OR lose (probably lose), fans are still pondering perhaps the most evil plan known to man to get AD Hunter Yurachek fired…

Storm the field and rack up fines:

Arkansas fans have had enough.

“Win or lose, we #stormthefield. Every game ends with an assault on the field and a $250,000 fine until @ArkRazorbacks fire @HunterYurachek,” an X user posted earlier this week in a now-viral post with over a million views.

Amazing. That just means more in the SEC, baby! Honestly, it’s great. That’s the kind of out-of-the-box thinking the Razorbacks could use on an offense that currently ranks 115th in the country. Or a defense that ranks 108th and currently gives up nearly 30 points per game.

Just a thought.

Look, it’s probably It won’t happen but… never say never. Razorback fans are tired. It’s been a long time and that’s an understatement.

Arkansas went 2-10 last season, and it was the third such 2-10 campaign in the last decade. Just an absurd statistic for an SEC school. It’s unfathomable.

Somehow it’s worse.

The Razorbacks haven’t won 10 games since 2011 and have only had one 9-win season (2021) in that same span. Growing up, Vanderbilt was the bottom-feeder in the SEC. Everyone knew it. This game was an automatic win if you looked at the preseason schedule.

No more.

Arkansas has officially taken that spot, and things will likely get worse (one way or another) before they get better.

Perhaps fans storming the field – win or lose – and costing the program a hefty $250,000 fine every time they do so (per NCAA rules) will speed up this process?

I’ve heard worse ideas.
