Disturbing details paint a graphic picture of how a loving father and his 3-year-old son were stabbed to death at a popular family resort during the family’s extended weeks-long stay.
Investigators say Metallica Rose Harrison, 27, used “butcher knives” when she allegedly stabbed her husband, Charles “Chaz” Harrison, 36, and the couple’s 3-year-old son.
This happened Monday at the Great Wolf Lodge in the Pocono, Pennsylvania area. The family is from the small rural town of Towanda, Pennsylvania.

The criminal complaint says officers responded to a 911 call regarding a “suicidal female” who “needed help to die.”
Officers discovered the two victims with stab wounds in their hotel room and found knives, blood and various drugs, according to the documents.

The couple was on a three-week extended stay at the resort, which can cost more than $600 a night.

In a statement sent to Fox News Digital, a Great Wolf Lodge spokesperson provided brief details about the extended stay.
“In the past, families have stayed at our resorts for extended periods of time to complete renovations or repairs, as our rooms are larger and there are many entertainment offerings, so a stay of several weeks is rare, but not completely unusual,” the statement said.

The spokesperson did not provide details on how the family paid for the stay and instead referred Fox News Digital to law enforcement for “details on this matter.”

A woman named Melissa Rivera, who said she was Chaz’s sister, wrote in a message: “Their passing was sudden and we are heartbroken trying to come to terms with the loss of two people we loved so dearly.”

She created an online fundraiser for funeral expenses. Rivera added, “Chaz was a good guy whose entire life centered around his wife and child. He meant so much to our family, and the pain of losing him and my nephew so unexpectedly is difficult to express in words.”

According to the couple’s social media accounts, it appears the couple had been married for three years before the tragedy.

Harrison is currently sitting in a Monroe County jail cell and has been denied bond, according to court records. She is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing on October 21.
