Information continues to circulate on Grand Theft Auto VI ahead of its highly anticipated release on November 19. Today, Rockstar Games revealed details on one of the long-running series’ best features: in-game radio stations and their respective DJs.
GTA VIProgramming will include Cocoteo FM, a modern Latin station hosted by Bad Bunny and RaiNao; the best of African music on AfroBank FM, from Burna Boy and Palms Trax; classic metal on Chamber 106.6, from Slayer’s Kerry King and Tom Araya; Flash FM’s ‘Best of Pop’ led by Robyn and model Alex Consani; Dirty South Classics by Trick Daddy and Trina; and Back Country Radio, the home of “renegade country,” run by Morgan Wallen, Lana Del Rey and – perhaps the biggest coup in the game – Lana’s husband, Jeremy Dufrene.
“Cocoteo understands our vibe, our slang, our tastes, our pride, our experiences, our traditions, and all our craziness,” RaiNao said in a statement to Pitchfork. “It’s incredibly special to lend my voice to GTA VI and do it in the best way possible: by having fun, by playing a character who looks like me and by showcasing our culture, our music and our people. The Puerto Rican artist added: “I’ve never been extreme when it comes to video games, but RGT was one of my favorites…. Diving into a stolen car, playing music with all that adrenaline rush, that was THE VIBE. It’s mind-blowing to know that I will now be a part of this experience.
In September, Rockstar revealed details of GTA VIThe 34-song soundtrack, featuring original tracks from Travis Scott, Yung Lean and PinkPantheress, among others.
