Halle Berry Says ‘She Won’ After Zendaya’s X-Men Halloween Look

Berry reposted Complex Style’s post about Zendaya’s Halloween look and shared what she thought about it on X (formerly Twitter). In the image, Zendaya wore a stringy Lanvin bikini top, paired with flared pants, brown glasses and beige heels. Her look was an homage to Berry’s outfit for the world premiere of “X-Men” in July 2002. She wrote “she won” with a sprinkle emoji.

Many fans took to the comments section to share their thoughts. One wrote: “Mother has spoken.” Another added: “There are no losers between you and Zendaya.” A third mentioned: “I would say if anyone else tried to channel your specific look, Zendaya would win.” Other reactions also included: “No. You both have been, currently are, and always will be winners” and “it’s a tie.”

In the X-Men movie, Berry played Ororo Munroe/Storm. The superhero film centers on Magneto, who kidnaps a young mutant in hopes of abusing his powers to destroy humanity. However, the X-Men and Wolverine do not allow this to happen, as they team up to stop Magneto’s evil plans.

The film’s cast included Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Anna Paquin, Berry, Famke Janssen, James Marsden, Bruce Davison, Rebecca Romijn-Stamos, Ray Park, Tyler Mane and Shawn Ashmore in key roles.

Berry is currently involved in two entertainment projects. She is starring in and producing an upcoming drama film called Fleur. Additionally, she will also appear in the upcoming thriller, Red Card. Before that, she played Sharon Colvin on Crime 101, which starred Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo and Barry Keoghan. It was released in February 2026 in the United States.
