Heidi Klum reveals her 2026 Halloween costume: the severed hand

It wouldn’t be Halloween without Heidi Klum, as the star showed off another jaw-dropping costume at her signature party on Saturday night.

The Queen of Halloween, as she’s now known, celebrated the 25th anniversary of her Halloween party in New York this year, and Klum took it to the next level by showing up with a severed hand.

She arrived in a truck covered in red “danger” slogans, helped to the ground by actors in yellow hazmat suits. Klum’s elaborate costume features a bloody wrist and her head in the center of the hand, with fingers adorned with rings and a new manicure. The star appeared this year without her husband Tom Kaulitz, who has dressed alongside her in recent years.

Klum is hosting the event, presented by Apothic and Butterfinger, at Cathedral restaurant in the Moxy East Village. The party has become one of Spooky Season’s most iconic events, as Klum always appears with an elaborate look. In recent years, she has transformed into Medusa, AND, a peacock, Fiona from ShrekJessica Rabbit and, more famously, a worm.

The model gave a sneak peek of her costume on her Instagram, teasing her transformation all day while asking her followers to submit their guesses on what she would become. Klum collaborates on her costumes with special effects makeup artist Mike Marino, who won an Emmy for his work on The Penguin. Marino revealed in a recent interview that “this costume this year is one of the most elaborate costumes ever made. It’s so difficult to make and the complexity of it is really a challenge.”

Klum herself promised earlier this year to People that his look was “very, very bloody” and “pairs very well with red wine”; she teamed up with Apothic Wines to create limited-edition Apothic x Heidi Klum Type ‘A’ Blood Bags, a Halloween collectible inspired by the look of the blood bags that were also served at the party.
