Hugh Hefner’s Wife Crystal Harris Asks Jessica Biel to Drop Playboy Movie

Crystal wasn’t by Hef’s side when he died

When she and Hef finally married on New Year’s Eve 2012, Crystal wore pink and wrote, “I told myself that if I ever got married for real, I would wear a white dress.”

Playing Hef’s wife was still work, she admits, “but it was like a promotion.” Still, it was work. In addition to launching a DJ and real estate career, growing her social media platform, and studying cryptocurrency, Crystal found herself adopting the role of caretaker.

“I was there, at his side, holding his arm for support, so when we were in public, no one would know that he was starting to become fragile or confused,” she wrote. “I wasn’t going to let him down.”

Even though she had to deal with her own health problems – Lyme disease, breast implant illness and exposure to toxic mold – she became “hyper-vigilant about protecting her image.”

Upon returning from a week’s absence in late 2017, Crystal learned that Hef had developed a urinary tract infection with “a strain of E. coli which was considered a “super bug”. Although they transformed his room into a makeshift hospital room with the necessary antibiotics, he began to lose consciousness and lose consciousness.

As she debated in the hallway what next steps to take, Crystal recalled, “one of the nurses came out of the room and said simply and quietly, ‘He’s gone.'”
