Living Nation announced the surprise return to North America of IRON MAID and it’s spectacular “Run for your life” show in spring 2027 for a very special third and final leg of the tour.
Following packed shows and rave reactions across Canada and the United States for the recently concluded North American leg of their 50th anniversary “Run for your life” tour, IRON MAID will return to North America in 2027 to play 16 more shows.
GIRLinducted in 2026 into Rock and Roll Hall of Famewill play primarily in regions missed by the current tour, in a mix of indoor and outdoor venues, and will conclude with two festival headlining performances at Sonic Temple And Promenade rock. Of course, they will bring their full, dramatic production to every performance.
Said IRON MAID bassist Steve Harris: “As many of our fans know, GIRL We had planned to take a break from performing in 2027, but we enjoyed this final leg in the US and Canada so much that we all discussed and decided we should take the show to the regions we missed, particularly the Northwest and Southeast. It just seems right to our many fans out there who have given us tremendous support for so many years. We can’t go everywhere but we can try! Plus, we’ve always loved playing the many big festivals that happen in Europe and we wanted to experience a few more in the States, which we will do at the end of the tour in Columbus and Maryland. At festivals you’re not just playing in front of your own fans, so it’s always a challenge and we all love a challenge!”
IRON MAID director Smallwood Stem comments: “The first leg was great, huge crowds of all ages and generations, some of the biggest shows we have ever played in North America with rave reactions from fans and media, and great atmosphere and camaraderie from our fans, including at our Eddie’s Dive Bars everywhere.
“It’s amazing that even after all these years, we’ve played to many more people than ever before and headlined our first stadium shows in the United States,” he continues. “We’ve sold out arenas in every part of North America since 1983 – except for a short period in the ’90s – and the band’s following here continues to grow despite an almost complete lack of support from mainstream radio and even without a single track reaching the Billboard Hot 100! For that, we have our incredible fans to thank, and it proves that word of mouth still matters a lot. We look forward to seeing you all again next spring.”
These shows will certainly be the last of the already legendary “Run for your life” tour which, at the end, will have given 107 concerts in front of more than three million fans in 36 countries. This is definitely the right way to celebrate your 50th birthday!
Special guests on the tour will be fellow Brits BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE who recently announced his new album, “Social Apocalypse”scheduled for release on March 19, 2027. This tour will be the band’s highly anticipated first concert in North America since their headlining tour with TRIVIUM at the beginning of last year. To complete this exciting all-British bill, THE AGE OF THE RAVENwho recently supported GIRL on several broadcasts from South and Central America. Since 1983, this has not been the case GIRL have chosen a British trio and this return to roots is well suited to this ultimate celebration of their early years and their 50th anniversary.
