Iron Maiden Unveils 2027 Tour Dates Despite Old Break News

Iron Maiden has announced new tour dates across North America in April and May 2027, despite previously announcing a touring hiatus until “at least” 2028.

Earlier this year, the metal icons shared with fans two concert dates in Japan taking place in November, along with the message that these concerts would mark the “very last shows the band will play until at least 2028, as they take a much-deserved break after being on the road for all of 2027.”

However, the band went back on its word and announced 16 spring concerts that would take place next year. The new edition will begin on April 14 in Tacoma and will end after a month, on May 16, with a final show in Ocean City.

Along the way, they’ll be joined by special guests Bullet for My Valentine and The Raven Age.

In the words of bassist and founder Steve Harris, “As many of our fans know, Maiden were planning to take a break from live shows in 2027, but we enjoyed this final leg in the United States and Canada so much that we all discussed and decided to take the show to the regions we missed, particularly the Northwest and Southeast. »

Harris added: “It feels right to our many fans out there who have given us tremendous support for so many years. We can’t go everywhere, but we can try!

While the tour will conclude with two sets at American festivals, Harris shared, “Also, we’ve always loved playing the many big festivals that happen in Europe and we wanted to experience a few more in the States, which we will do at the end of the tour in Columbus and Maryland. At festivals you don’t just play in front of your own fans, so it’s always a challenge, and we all love a challenge!”

Manager Rod Smallwood also shared, “It’s amazing that even after all these years, we’re playing to many more people per show than ever before and are headlining our first stadium shows in the United States.”
