Jay-Z didn’t have to search too long and hard for this year’s Super Bowl halftime show performer, as the 25-time Grammy Award winner reportedly chose himself to take the stage at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, just outside Los Angeles.
According to Puck News, Jay-Z gave a nod to Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber, who were reportedly considered finalists to get the Super Bowl LXI halftime gig. TMZ previously reported that Harry Styles was also among the favorites for the February halftime performance.
Jay-Z and his entertainment company, Roc Nation, have been the producers and decision makers of the Super Bowl halftime show since 2019.
