Jennifer Lawrence is done getting painted blue for a paycheck, thank you very much.

Jennifer Lawrence is taking a little victory lap at the moment, largely inspired by her decision to (briefly) return to hunger games franchise for its upcoming prequel-plus-a-few-bits-of-framing-story Sunrise over the harvest. But even though she expresses genuine gratitude for the role Katniss Everdeen played in her life, Lawrence was a bit less excited to one day play one of his other great characters from the franchise again.

“Absolutely not,” Lawrence replied in a recent message. Seduce interview (by Variety), when asked if she would ever consider doing a job that involved obtaining the paint and prosthetics needed to make her costumes for the X-Men Franchise mystique again. While warning that she would “never say never,” Lawrence nevertheless seemed pretty fucking “never” about this whole idea. “Do you know how airbrushing is really cold?” she asked, “remembering” the process of adopting the Mystique look, which she said took eight hours when she first appeared as the character in X-Men: First Class. “And I’m ticklish. I’ve learned how little sleep I can operate on and what can happen to the human mind when you’ve truly reached your breaking point. And patience!”

Lawrence ultimately persevered for four X-Men films, where, one can’t help but note, several of his co-stars didn’t seem to have to endure much more than the occasional shaving of their heads, or pressing their fingers to their temples while making an “I’m lifting a building with the power of my mind/magnets” face. She spoke warmly about performing the stunts in the films, noting in particular that she had worked with Renee Moneymaker, who had previously been her double in hunger gameson the character of Mystique. But anyone hoping that Marvel’s recent efforts to bring all of the X-Men back into the fold might include one of First class The group should probably know that this is going to run straight into a wall from Lawrence who really doesn’t want to spend his life in blue paint anymore, thank you. (That being said, Rebecca Romjin, one of the few people on the planet who could actually, Really understands Lawrence’s plight here, has agreed to return to the franchise for next December’s film. Avengers: Apocalypse.)
