Kevin Federline once admitted to spending Britney Spears’ $40,000 monthly alimony to fund a lavish lifestyle

A year before Kevin Federline was sued over a six-figure credit card bill, he admitted to spending his ex-wife Britney Spears’ child support money “almost as soon as it arrived.”

The former rapper received $20,000 every month for their two sons after his divorce from the pop star in 2007.

That high figure would have doubled to $40,000 a decade later when Federline’s custody length increased, then dropped back down when their eldest turned 18 in 2023.

Federline confessed in his memoir “You Thought You Knew” that “the money disappeared almost” immediately and “didn’t go as far” as one might think.

The 48-year-old explained in the October 2025 tell-all that the security Sean Preston, 21, and Jayden, 20, “needed” while living in Los Angeles “came at a price that would make anyone’s head spin.”

Additionally, Federline noted that trying to give the boys the lavish “lifestyle” they were “accustomed to” allowed them to “easily” exceed the five-figure monthly sum.

“It added up quickly,” he wrote. “People hear numbers like that and think you’re financially secure. But the reality is far from that.”

Insisting he never “dropped” Spears’ money, Federline denied being “a bum sitting around waiting for a check.”

The former backup dancer, who is also the father of two children each with ex Shar Jackson and wife Victoria Prince, wrote: “I was out there hustling, investing, working to build a solid foundation for myself and my kids.”

Federline stopped receiving payments from the pop princess in November 2024 — and, according to Page Six, he signed a deal with City National Bank that same month.

According to court documents obtained by Page Six on Thursday, he now owes the bank at least $117,704 covering a credit card, line of credit and overdraft line.

Federline is being sued – not only for the amount owed, but also for the interest, which amounts to 20.5 percent on the credit card, 7.5 percent on the credit line and 18 percent on the overdraft line.

According to the lawsuit, he had until August 2026 to pay off his credit card, while his personal overdraft line and personal credit line were due in April and June 2025, respectively.

On top of that, Page Six reported Friday that Bank of America was suing Federline in February for $12,186.64.

However, the bank filed a motion to dismiss the lawsuit with prejudice in June, showing that Federline had paid the amount owed.
