Latest trailer for The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time Remake shows a lot of old stuff, but some surprising new stuff

Nintendo’s next remake THE Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time It certainly looks like a faithful recreation of the Nintendo 64 classic, and most of its latest trailer leans into that by showing off the prettier versions of the old locations and boss fights that Link will make his way to when the remake launches on Switch 2 early next month. However, it also reveals a new thing that will be added in the remake: the Hall of Fallen Foes.

This space is like a museum that Link can visit that features statues of enemies he has defeated throughout the game. Examining these statues will give you a description of the featured monster, perhaps providing you with new insight into its behaviors and place in the world, as well as telling you where you can find them if you want to slap them for fun. That’s all well and good, but the real draw here is that each of the game’s boss monsters will also be represented in the Hall of Fallen Foes, and if you want to fight them again, you can do so from this hall. The game will also keep track of your best time, so if you want to break a new personal best, it looks like you’ll be able to take on the game’s bosses as many times as you want.

Ocarina of time arrives on Switch 2 on November 5 and is the big flagship game for the 40th anniversary of the series. Next year, Nintendo and Sony will release a live-action film starring Benjamin Evan Ainsworth and Bo Bragason as Link and Zelda respectively, although they have yet to show a full trailer for the film.
